Contact Form
Users can contact C.B.R.E. via email or a contact form. Each time who someone used the contact form, the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email, and message are stored in the database of the site. We use these data only to contact the user who sent the message. Afterwards, we delete the user’s information from the database.
Analytics
We use the WordPress.com stats through the Jetpack plugin. WordPress.com tracks the following activity: Post and page views, outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms, and country. The following data is used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, browser language, country code. Important: We do not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, we can see that a specific page has 285 views, but we cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.
Hosting Provider Logs
The IT Center of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, which hosts this website with, stores visitor IP addresses within the server’s access logs. They keep access logs for 30 days, after which time logs are deleted. They use IP addresses to track attacks on websites they host and allow them to take steps to prevent those attacks.
